the second volume travels back further in time, selecting some songs that were in the country charts for their original artists as long ago as the 1990s. The oldest one is "Should've Been a Cowboy," Toby Keith's first hit from 1993. Several others, however, are near-contemporary and will be familiar to young parents who are country music fans. A greater difference between the first volume and the second is that unlike the first, apparently performed entirely by Mike Baiardi, this one, featuring a quartet of Adam Landry (guitar, percussion, and xylophone), Andy Leftwich (mandolin and fiddle), Nate Clark (keyboards), and Jeff Servias (Dobro and percussion), is a bit livelier and gives the songs more of a bluegrass feel.
