After giving a listen to "Renegade", I have to say that I am blown away by the quality of the writing, musicianship, vocals, and instrumentals. Even though I am primarily a metal fan, I can appreciate all the songs on this CD. From the country songs "These Worn Out Boots", "Must be Nice", "Southern Ways", "Church Song", and "Rowdy Ass Family" to the bluesy songs "Somethin' About The River", and "I Ain't Got Not Halo", and to the harder edge Southern Rock Tracks "San Antonio" and "White Trash Ass", "Renegade", and the excellent closer "Nashville Tonight". The Dark Horse Rodeos bands instrumentals, along with the ladies that provide the backup vocals, all compliment Ronnie's soulfull vocal delivery quite masterfully. I am completely impressed with his range as a musician, artist, and songwriter. I would definitely recommend this CD to anyone who simply wants great music to listen to. The "Renegade" album will definitely have you tapping your fingers on your steering wheel if you are listening in your car and singing along!
