Michael Monroe, the vocalist from Hanoi Rocks has returned to his solo career. If you are a fan, you may have heard the live CD he released just a few month ago. On bass guitar for both of these is Hanoi rocks bassist Sami Yaffa while Ginger is on guitar from the British band The Wildhearts. The new studio recording with the same lineup as on the live CD, "Sensory Overdrive" picks up right where the live album lets off.
If you are a fan of the music of bands like The Jim Carroll Band, Starz, Backyard Babies, or The Helicopters, you will enjoy this. Even though the remaining members of Hanoi Rocks have decided to call it a day, vocalist Michael Monroe continues to carry the torch for their style of glam/heavy rock music. This new release continues to showcase not just the man but the band behind him in the world of high octane, guitar driven, hard rock 'n roll. If you like high-energy rock 'n roll, you will like this.
