Melody Prochet's debut album (under the moniker Melody's Echo Chamber) is a lot of things: it's part rock, part jazz, part psychedelic, part glam, part dreampop, part chillwave, part new-wave (80's). The album does have a through-line though - it's consistently atmospheric and textured. The French singer/songwriter operates under the most confident conditions throughout MELODY'S ECHO CHAMBER, and while the album has a lot of idea, a few of them land in a really big way. Prochet deals out her lyrics in both English and French - as someone who is fluent in English and not-at-all in French, it was hard to discern what was being said regardless of the language.
