Duncan Sheik is a Grammy Award and two-time Tony Award winning singer-songwriter and composer. As a solo artist, Sheik's ubiquitous hit "Barely Breathing" spent 55 weeks on the Billboard's Hot 100 Chart and propelled the sales of his Atlantic Records debut to 750,000 copies. As a composer, Sheik again found success with his Broadway musical, Spring Awakening, which earned 8 Tony Awards, including "Best Musical" and garnered accolades and A+ reviews. Spring Awakening proved influential on Broadway and the New York Times predicted "Broadway, with its often puerile sophistication and its sterile romanticism, may never be the same". Sheik is currently working on stage productions of Bret Easton Ellis' American Psycho and Hans Christian Andersen's The Nightingale. Sheik is back again with a remix of his most recent album Covers 80s with remixes from Samantha Ronson, El-P, Gabriel & Dresden, Chico Mann, Terry Urban and more and guest appearance from Holly Brook aka Skylar Grey and Rachael Yamagata. Sheik will begin a 30 date headline US tour in November as part of the first annual "Sunset Sessions Tour" in support of the album's release. A national press campaign handled by Sacks and Co will begin in September as well as a national AAA campaign.
