With the release of their sophomore disc, Steppin' Out, however, sisters Zainam, Yonah, and Cleopatra have chucked the cutesy girl-next-door braids and techno-colored fashions they donned for 1998's Comin' Atcha and adopted sleeker hairdos and a sexier wardrobe that looks straight out of Contempo Casuals. Although the girls' voices are still pleasingly thin, the trio's music has undergone a makeover as well, with legendary producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis lending their Midas touch to two sassy, Janet Jackson-esque songs: the stuttered bounce track "Who's Your Woman" and the up-tempo party anthem "Yes This Party's Going Right." This time around, with their blossoming maturity and polished sound, Cleopatra are bound to find the success in the U.S. that they've enjoyed overseas.
